Wedding Tales...

Happy Nuptials to my beautiful friend, Jessica!
For ten years I've known this gorgeous, wonderful woman. She inspires, empowers and enlightens me as much today as she did when first we met. I was so happy to be amongst her chosen "spiritual family" at her NYC wedding on Sunday, January 19th, 2014, all of whom, when asked "who gives this woman in marriage" responded in a chorus of "we do's". (Tears fell, but waterproof mascara had been applied!)
It was a spectacular (in its warm simplicity) event, but putting it on did require a lot of buzzingly busy bees. Shinae, Jess' (now) former roommate, as Maid of Honor had her work cut out for her planning the wedding for this internationally loved couple. (Chris' parents run an orphanage in Africa.)
One particular topic was obviously... 'Bridesmaids' Dresses'. The email chain between the maids (myself included) went back and forth over the course of a few weeks, each of us pitching ideas. Then (the day my brain turned on) I finally responded, "Why not one of favorite designers whose dresses just so happen to have a way of making pretty much anyone feel beautiful? Alicia Estrada."

Stop Staring by Alicia Estrada
Jess wanted navy blue. So, instantly I reached out to Alicia with sizes for the girls. We selected the above dress because of its classy, sophisticated yet sexy feel. I brought the pieces to NYC for Jessica's bridal shower and... voila! The girls and Jess were in love.
Stop Staring has, for many years, been my 'go-to dress' place of choice. Keep up the beautiful work, Alicia!
